How to get tested for COVID-19?

How to get tested for COVID-19?

There are many places in Fairfax County that offer free or low-cost health care that includes testing for COVID-19 . This is what to do:

If you have a doctor, call him or her.

Your doctor will assess your health and determine if you need the test. Call before you go.

2. Choose a provider from the list of places that offer health care for the uninsured.

There are several places where patients with or without insurance are accepted, and where variable rates are offered if patients are low-income and uninsured. Priority is given to patients with symptoms associated with COVID-19. Visit our website to learn more about these test sites, including HealthWorks, Neighborhood Health, ADAMS Compassionate Healthcare Network, Culmore Clinic, and others.

3. Find your own doctor

Although your immediate concern might be to have access to a test for COVID-19, we recommend that you use this opportunity to find a doctor of your own, that is, a doctor who can take care of all the health problems of you and your family. In our area, there are many low-cost health care resources for people without health insuranceSee: Coronavirus (COVID-19): Health Care Options for the Uninsured
